How our Internet Filter works.

Start by signing up for a trial and create a filrered (children) and unfiltered (parents or "override") user name and password.

The system is divided into 2 categories. The first category is "filtered" or "restricted" users. Typically, these are kids or people who you want to restrict Internet websites. Websites that are blocked: pornography, certain video sites, violence, and anonymous proxies. We can even make a customize solution for you.

The second category is "unfiltered" or "override" users. These are typically parents or people who have full access to the Internet. This user name can go to any website.

By default, all users are going to be filtered. The difference between the two users is that the parent or override users can enter their user name and password when they get blocked and go to any website. This is why it is so important not to share the override password with your kids.

Windows users can install software that does all the filtering for you. Apple users will soon have software but must configure their browser manually in order to work.

If you continue to get blocked by a website you like, "submit a site for review" link on the block page will allow you to send us an email to unblock a page. If for some reason you cannot get to a web site that is blocked, simply override the web site using the parent login you created (parent/override login) in the trial. Or email support@safelinks.com
